Online commerce giant Amazon Inc. has been rumored to join the tablet wars with its Amazon Tablet. Now the question is if Apple needs to worry about this new tablet. Let’s check our comparison below.
The first and most important factor is the pricing on the tablet. Not many people want to spend their hard earned money on a tablet which can be bought for much less with the same tech specs. If Amazon can provide satisfactory quality with a cheap price tag (something like 250 dollars) we believe it’s possible to become an iPad killer.
Anyone who isn’t living under a stone knows for sure that Amazon is one of the biggest companies in the world. It has reputation and customers that even Apple can’t match. It sells millions of products every day and survey says,buyers would prefer Amazon over any other brand because of the satisfaction that Amazon has given them. Amazon is one of the most reliable brands currently in the world. Many surveys proves that in the last one year people have mostly bought from Amazon. From birthday card to a $3000 television you will find it all at Amazon with the cheapest price and availability.
But still, off course, a lot of people say that they will buy an iPad this year but we are not certain if the numbers will change once Amazon makes its tablet official and announces some of its features. Also now at IFA 2011 many tablets were announced which impressed many people.
Rumors state that Apple is planning a widescreen HD iPad and if Apple releases one with cheap price tag Apple is bound to steal away some users. On the other hand if Amazon gives a better deal with better specs Amazon will surely earn loads of buyers. Another thing along with price and size users want are the availability of apps, applications to make the tablet more fun. Applications are one thing which Apple has superiority over with both quality and quantity. Amazon Tablet shall be powered by Android so it will have lots of good applications. One thing is for sure Apple will have to cut prices to retain its users.
Our final words will be that Amazon tablet will be a worthy opponent to the iPad. Apple can’t remain the champion of tablet wars if it doesn’t give a price cut. On the other hand Amazon will try its best that it earns loads of customers. Amazon has much more customers. Let us wait and see how things turn out as only the right time will tell what will happen to the world of tablets!
